YILWATDA: At 74, President Tinubu Stands Tall as the Architect of a New Nigeria

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the occasion of his 74th birthday, describing him as a transformative leader and architect of a new Nigeria.
Speaking on behalf of the party’s National Working Committee, leaders, stakeholders, and supporters across the country and in the diaspora, Yilwatda said the occasion is not only a time of celebration but also an opportunity for Nigerians to reflect on the President’s enduring contributions to the nation’s democratic evolution and development.
He noted that President Tinubu’s life has been marked by vision, resilience, and a deep commitment to nation-building. From his role in the democratic struggle to his tenure as Governor of Lagos State and now as President, Yilwatda said Tinubu has consistently demonstrated purposeful leadership and progressive governance.
According to him, Nigeria is currently experiencing a decisive era of courageous leadership and transformational reforms under Tinubu’s administration. He emphasized that the President assumed office at a critical period and has since taken bold steps to address longstanding structural challenges in the economy and governance system.
Yilwatda stated that rather than delaying difficult decisions, the President has initiated far-reaching reforms aimed at ensuring long-term economic stability, national prosperity, and inclusive growth. He described the administration’s policies as strategic and rooted in the long-term interests of Nigerians.
He further highlighted efforts by the administration to stabilize the economy, restore investor confidence, strengthen fiscal discipline, improve revenue generation, and deepen infrastructure development. Additional focus areas, he said, include social interventions, agricultural development, industrial revitalization, energy security, and improved access to education and healthcare.
The APC chairman also commended the government’s commitment to youth empowerment, digital innovation, and creating an enabling environment for enterprise, noting that these initiatives reflect a forward-looking governance philosophy.
Yilwatda praised the administration’s determination to strengthen national security, preserve unity, and build a stable federation where citizens can thrive. He added that President Tinubu’s leadership reflects firmness, clarity of purpose, and a strong belief in Nigeria’s potential.
While acknowledging that reforms may come with temporary challenges, he expressed confidence that the sacrifices will lead to a more prosperous and equitable nation.
