APC Ogun East Primary: Ijebu City Boy Movement Backs Dapo Abiodun for Senate
Ogun State — The Ijebu City Boy Movement and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun East have declared their support for Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, ahead of the APC Ogun East Senatorial Primary Election.

In a press statement signed by Moibi Ibrahim Olalekan, the group described the primary election as a critical moment that would determine the future direction of Ogun East Senatorial District.
The statement praised Governor Abiodun’s leadership, citing achievements in infrastructure, economic growth, governance, and people-oriented development across Ogun State. According to the group, the governor has demonstrated competence, capacity, and strong leadership qualities throughout his administration.
The movement also noted that the governor’s endorsement by party stakeholders and leaders across Ogun East reflects widespread confidence in his ability to represent the district effectively at the National Assembly.
Calling for unity among party members, the group urged APC delegates and supporters to remain peaceful and focused during the primary election process.
“Ogun East deserves experience, capacity, and a strong voice in the Senate,” the statement read, adding that Governor Abiodun remains the preferred candidate for the district.
