Force Commander MNJTF Visits OPHK, Seeks Stronger Collaboration Against Terrorism

The Force Commander of the Multinational Joint Task Force, Saidu Audu, has visited the Headquarters of Operation HADIN KAI in Maiduguri, Borno State, as part of efforts to strengthen collaborative counter-terrorism operations in the North-East.

During the operational visit, Major General Audu received a comprehensive briefing on the activities of Operation HADIN KAI and held interactive sessions with senior military officers on ongoing security engagements and operational strategies.

The Force Commander stated that the visit was aimed at deepening synergy and jointness between the MNJTF and Operation HADIN KAI towards achieving greater operational successes against terrorist groups operating within the region.

He emphasised that collaborative efforts among troops of contributing nations remain the most effective pathway to dismantling terrorist networks and denying insurgents freedom of action across the Lake Chad Basin region.

Major General Audu described the MNJTF as a unique multinational alliance committed to promoting regional security, peace, and stability through coordinated military operations.

He also commended the Theatre Commander of Operation HADIN KAI, Abdulsalam Abubakar, and troops under his command for their commitment and operational achievements in containing insurgency activities in the North-East.

In his remarks, Major General Abubakar described the visit as timely and strategic, noting that it would further strengthen cooperation between both formations in the collective fight against terrorism and insurgency.

The Theatre Commander reaffirmed the commitment of Operation HADIN KAI to sustained collaboration with the MNJTF in safeguarding lives and property and improving socio-economic activities within the region.

The visit featured inspection of a Quarter Guard, operational briefings, interactive sessions, presentation of souvenirs, signing of the visitors’ register, and a group photograph with senior military officers from both formations.
