Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State — A growing political movement advocating grassroots participation and indigenous representation has begun gaining attention in Ijebu Ode Constituency following a press statement issued by Olalekan Moibi Ibrahim.

In the statement titled “The People of Ijebu Ode Constituency Have Waited Long Enough,” the APC stalwart criticized what he described as years of political neglect and the recurring emergence of “outsiders” during election periods.
According to him, loyal party members, youths, and grassroots supporters who have consistently sustained the political structure in the constituency have repeatedly been sidelined in favor of individuals who only return during election seasons.

He stated that the movement is not driven by bitterness or division, but by the belief that leadership should come from individuals who have remained connected to the constituency and understand the realities facing the people.
The statement also reaffirmed support for the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the political vision of Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, describing both as frameworks capable of delivering progress and rewarding genuine service.
Ibrahim described the emerging political push as a youth-driven and grassroots-oriented movement focused on development, inclusion, and stronger representation for the people of Ijebu Ode Constituency.
“This is youth o’clock. This is grassroots power. This is the people’s movement,” the statement declared.
He added that members and supporters under the APC platform would continue mobilizing and engaging residents toward what he described as a more inclusive political future for the constituency.
The development comes as political activities gradually intensify ahead of future electoral contests across Ogun State.
