IGP Disu Meets CDS, Service Chiefs to Strengthen Security Collaboration

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr. Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has paid a courtesy visit to the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Olufemi Oluyede, and other Service Chiefs as part of ongoing strategic engagements with key stakeholders in Nigeria’s security architecture.
The visit created an avenue for high-level discussions centered on strengthening inter-agency collaboration, enhancing intelligence sharing, and reinforcing joint operational frameworks to effectively address prevailing security challenges across the country.
During the engagement, IGP Disu emphasized the importance of sustained synergy between the Armed Forces and the Nigeria Police Force in maintaining internal security. He noted that closer cooperation among security agencies is critical to protecting lives and property, as well as ensuring national stability.
The discussions also highlighted the need for coordinated efforts in tackling emerging threats, improving response strategies, and maximizing available resources through unified operations.
