FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO SUPPORT STUDENTS WITH CAPITAL GRANTS

The Federal Government has announced plans to introduce capital grant initiatives for students with innovative ideas and entrepreneurial skills, as part of efforts to complement the ongoing student loan scheme across the country.
Minister of State for Education, Suwaiba Said Ahmad, disclosed this during the 70th anniversary celebration of Kaduna Polytechnic.
According to the Minister, the initiative aligns with the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to empowering young Nigerians through education, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
Dr. Suwaiba explained that the proposed capital grants would provide financial support to students with viable business ideas and creative innovations, enabling them to transform their concepts into productive ventures that can contribute to national development.
She noted that the Federal Government remains committed to creating opportunities that encourage self-reliance, creativity, and economic growth among Nigerian youths.
The Minister also commended Kaduna Polytechnic for its significant contributions to technical and vocational education over the past seventy years, describing the institution as a critical pillar in Nigeria’s human capital development efforts.
Dr. Suwaiba further urged students across the country to take full advantage of government programmes designed to improve learning, innovation, and entrepreneurial development.
