Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State — A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ijebu Ode Constituency, Moibi Ibrahim Olalekan, has officially announced his withdrawal from the forthcoming party primary election.
In a press statement released on Monday, Olalekan said his decision was made out of respect for party supremacy, unity, and the collective interest of the APC.

The politician described the decision as a painful personal sacrifice, noting that his movement had gained strong grassroots support and significant momentum ahead of the primary election. Despite this, he stated that preserving the peace and stability of the party remained more important than personal ambition.
According to him, “Party interest must always come first.”
Olalekan expressed appreciation to party leaders, political associates, youths, women groups, community stakeholders, and supporters across Ijebu Ode Constituency for their loyalty and support throughout his political journey.
He urged members of his political movement and APC supporters to remain calm, peaceful, and committed to the ideals of the ruling party, while emphasizing the need for unity ahead of future political engagements in Ogun State.
The APC chieftain also assured supporters that his withdrawal does not mark the end of his political aspirations, but rather the beginning of another phase of service and commitment to the people.
“Our movement remains strong. Our vision remains alive. Our commitment to the people remains unshaken,” he stated.
Moibi Ibrahim Olalekan currently serves as Director of the Ijebu City Boy Movement and remains an active stakeholder within the APC in Ogun State.
