List of All 47 Senatorial Aspirants Not Cleared by APC

ABUJA, NIGERIA – MAY 18, 2026

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released the names of 47 senatorial aspirants who were not cleared ahead of the party’s primary elections across several states of the federation.
The list, which cuts across multiple senatorial districts, includes former lawmakers, political figures, and party chieftains from Adamawa, Anambra, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, the FCT, Jigawa, Kebbi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, Oyo, Taraba, Plateau, Rivers, Yobe, and Zamfara states.


Among the notable names on the list are former Bayelsa East Senator, Ben Murray-Bruce, former Rivers State secretary to the state government, Tamunobaabo Danagogo, and businessman Tein Jack-Rich.

Party officials are yet to provide detailed reasons for the non-clearance of the affected aspirants, though the development has generated reactions within several state chapters ahead of the APC primaries.
