PMS Tanker Catches Fire in Sabon Gari, No Life Lost

A petrol tanker carrying Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) caught fire at a filling station in Sabon Gari area of Zaria, Kaduna State, with no loss of life recorded.

According to reports from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), the incident occurred at a filling station located within Sabon Gari Local Government Area.

Preliminary findings indicate that the cause of the fire outbreak is yet to be determined. However, the tanker driver was affected by the blaze and has been rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention.

Emergency response teams, including the Federal Fire Service and personnel from the Fire Service Depot in Abuja, swiftly responded to the incident and successfully contained the fire, preventing it from escalating further.

Residents of the area also supported efforts to bring the situation under control, while other security agencies were deployed to manage the crowd and ensure safety at the scene.

Authorities have assured that investigations are ongoing to ascertain the exact cause of the fire incident.
