Ogun Finance Commissioner Presents First Executive Memo at Newly Upgraded Exco Chambers

The Honourable Commissioner for Finance and Chief Economic Adviser, Hon. Prince Oladapo AbdulRahman Okubadejo, joined His Excellency, Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, and other cabinet members for a historic Executive Council meeting held at the newly refurbished smart and modern Exco Chambers in the Governor’s Office Complex, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta.

As shared on the Commissioner’s official social media handles, today marked a milestone in the state’s governance structure. He had the honour of presenting the first Executive Memo at the upgraded Chambers. The Council approved the construction of several major roads, including the reconstruction of the 5km Itanrin-Sabo Road in Ijebu-Ode and Odogbolu Local Government Areas.

The Itanrin-Sabo Road remains a vital link for many growing communities such as Itanrin Molode and Sabo. It connects key locations including the Ijebu-Ode Central Mosque and serves as an alternative route from the Benin-Sagamu Express Road into Ijebu-Ode township. This project adds to the long list of road works completed and ongoing in Ijebu-Ode under the current administration.

The meeting also reviewed the 2026 budget and the state’s major development efforts. Hon. Okubadejo presented updates on fiscal plans and project funding. His role as Chief Economic Adviser continues to shape the planning and execution of major state projects recorded over the past seven years, ensuring strong financial discipline and steady progress across all sectors.

Council members commended the growth achieved through careful planning and clear economic direction as the state prepares for the next fiscal year.
