APC Ijebu Ode Leaders Hold Strategic Stakeholders Meeting, Renew Commitment to Unity and Development
The leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ijebu Ode Local Government held a strategic meeting that brought together top party figures, community influencers, and grassroots mobilizers to review ongoing developments and strengthen party cohesion.

The meeting opened with prayers led by former Local Government Chairman, Hon. Alhaji Eniola Babatunde Gazal, followed by the party anthem rendered by the APC Chairman, Hon. Alhaji Surajudeen Omologere, and echoed by all attendees.
In his welcome remarks, Hon. Omologere appreciated members for their sacrifices and steady commitment to the party. He recognized the effective leadership style of the Honourable Commissioner for Finance and Chief Economic Adviser, Hon. Prince Dapo Okubadejo, praising his visible and discreet contributions to the growth of APC and to peace among party members in the local government.
A minute of silence was observed in honour of the late Hon. Fatai Atoyegbe, after emotional tributes.
Addressing the gathering, Hon. Okubadejo thanked party leaders for their steadfastness and reaffirmed his pride in being a committed member of APC. He noted that although the meeting should have been held more frequently, it will now take place regularly to improve party coordination.
He encouraged party members to collapse their personal groups and structures into the main APC framework at all levels, stressing that unity strengthens opportunities and improves collective bargaining power.
The Commissioner highlighted major projects attracted to the local government through the support of Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, urging members to show gratitude for the Governor’s continued investment in Ijebu Ode.
He listed ongoing and completed infrastructural projects including multiple road constructions, the regeneration of GRA Housing Estate in Igbeba, upgrades at the Ijebu Ode Technical School, and the Ijebu Industrial Cluster along the Ijebu Ode–Epe Expressway. He also mentioned the dry port project, which is expected to boost industrial growth and employment, and the Federal Government–approved train station that will enhance mobility and link Ijebu Ode to other regions.
Speaking further, Hon. Okubadejo reminded members that political appointments, opportunities, and developments thrive where unity exists. He disclosed that he had facilitated employment opportunities in the Ogun State Civil Service and secured about 50 federal slots from the Ministry of Interior.
He assured stakeholders that more appointments are forthcoming and encouraged party executives to always carry grassroots members along. He appealed for unity, advising members to stay focused and committed as more opportunities emerge.
He also commended Hon. Giwa Oseni for his steadfastness since returning to the APC, urging other decampees to follow his example and dedicate themselves fully to the party.
Hon. Okubadejo announced the donation of tablets to support ongoing voter registration and revealed his financial contributions to boost mobilization efforts.
During the contributions segment, Otunba Fagade raised concerns on industrial development and appealed for attention to the Okun Owa road. Hon. Lekan Adebanjo raised the issue of indiscriminate refuse dumping across the council area. Hon. Arowolo (Arokem) appealed for the completion of the Ikoto Bridge, a motion supported by Hon. Sesan Adenaike. Hon. Biyi Oduyemi (Ocean B) requested the construction of Lagos Garage–Adeola Road leading to Degun Junction.
In his response, Hon. Okubadejo acknowledged all concerns and assured members that the government would review each request and act accordingly.
The meeting ended with renewed calls for unity, discipline, and collective commitment as APC prepares for future political engagements in Ijebu Ode Local Government.
