His Excellency, Prince Dr Dapo Abiodun CON, delivered the keynote through the Honourable Commissioner for Finance and Chief Economic Adviser, Hon Prince OlaDapo Okubadejo. He highlighted Ogun State’s strong results in the first phase, which earned World Bank recognition as a National Resource Centre for peer learning. Sixteen states visited Ogun State for knowledge exchange during the earlier phase.

Hon Prince OlaDapo Okubadejo explained the goal of the Scale-Up. He said the programme is an investment in a future where women gain steady access to skills, finance, and supportive systems. He noted ongoing work to remove barriers women face while running businesses. He stated that the new phase will open more training, financial access, and business support for women-owned micro and small firms.

The Scale-Up will reach over 105,000 women through 420 Ward Facilitators. Beneficiaries will receive training in financial education, business skills, life skills, and grievance redress processes. The goal is strong, independent enterprise growth and wider economic stability in Ogun State.

The programme is a joint effort of the Federal Government, Ogun State Government, and the World Bank. The partnership aims to push back extreme poverty and promote stronger, inclusive progress across the State.
