FEDERATION OF IJEBU YOUTH (FIY) WORKING VISITATION REPORT
PRESS RELEASE
The Federation of Ijebu Youth (FIY) recently embarked on a purposeful working visitation to the Honourable Member of the Ogun State House of Assembly representing the Ijebu State Constituencies, as part of its ongoing commitment to constructive engagement, youth advocacy and strategic partnership with public office holders of Ijebu extraction.
The visitation was aimed at strengthening the cordial relationship between FIY and the legislative arm of government, while creating a platform to discuss critical issues affecting Ijebu youths, community development, cultural preservation, education, employment opportunities and inclusive governance.
During the interaction, the FIY delegation formally presented its mandate, formation of the executive across the local governments,vision,mission,core values and ongoing initiatives focused on youth integration,youth cultural orientation,leadership development and the promotion of Ijebu heritage, language speaking and unity. Key challenges confronting Ijebu youths were highlighted, alongside practical recommendations for legislative support and collaboration.
The Honourable Member, in response, warmly received the FIY delegation and commended the organization for its consistency, maturity and structured approach to youth development. They reaffirmed their commitment to supporting initiatives that will positively impact Ijebu youths and communities, while encouraging continuous engagement and constructive dialogue.
This working visitation further reflects FIY’s unwavering belief that meaningful development is achieved through dialogue, partnership and mutual respect between youth bodies and government institutions.
The Federation of Ijebu Youth remains resolute in its mission to serve as a credible voice for Ijebu youths, promote unity across all Ijebu divisions and work collaboratively with stakeholders to secure a prosperous and progressive future for Ijebu land.
