Ogun 2027: Congratulatory Messages Trail Adeola’s Emergence as APC Consensus Candidate
Congratulatory messages have continued to pour in from across Ogun State following the emergence of Solomon Adeola as the All Progressives Congress consensus governorship candidate for the 2027 election.

The decision was reached at a high level caucus meeting held at the party secretariat in Abeokuta on Monday, April 13, 2026. The meeting brought together key stakeholders including senators, members of the House of Representatives, state lawmakers, and senior party leaders.

Among the early voices was Oladapo AbdulRahman Okubadejo, Commissioner for Finance and Chief Economic Adviser, who congratulated Senator Adeola and described his emergence as a product of unity, experience, and grassroots strength. He also commended Dapo Abiodun for his statesmanship, noting that his leadership ensured alignment among stakeholders without internal conflict. Okubadejo urged party members to remain united and committed as the focus shifts toward victory in 2027.

Similarly, Tola Banjo, Director General of the Grassroots Movement for Tinubu, praised the consensus decision, stating that it reflects political maturity and strategic thinking within the party. He described Adeola as a tested leader with the capacity to deliver results for the state.
Former Governor Gbenga Daniel also extended his congratulations, highlighting the importance of unity and continuity in governance. He urged party faithful to rally behind the candidate and sustain the progress recorded in recent years.
In the same vein, Waliu Ifedolapo Owode commended the peaceful outcome of the process and called on party members at the grassroots to mobilise support for the APC ahead of the election.
Across party lines and stakeholder groups, the consensus remains clear. The emergence of Senator Adeola signals a unified front within the APC, with leaders now focused on consolidating support and preparing for the 2027 governorship race.
