3RD ANNIVERSARY: GOVERNOR FUBARA REAFFIRMS “RIVERS FIRST” MANTRA

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the “Rivers First” mantra, describing it as the guiding philosophy behind government policies and programmes over the past three years.
In a goodwill message marking the third anniversary of his administration, the governor said his focus has consistently been on placing the interest and wellbeing of the people of Rivers State above all other considerations.
According to a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary, Onwuka Nzeshi, Governor Fubara emphasized that his administration has remained committed to delivering development-driven governance anchored on inclusiveness, peace, and sustainable growth.

The governor highlighted major investments in road infrastructure, noting that they were designed to connect rural communities with urban centres and stimulate economic activities across the state. He said the administration’s long-term vision of transforming Rivers State into a leading investment destination informed the execution of several strategic projects.

These include the Port Harcourt Ring Road, Trans-Kalabari Highway, Elele/Umudioga/Egbeda/Ubimini/Ikiri/Omoku Road, and the Ngo-Atlantic/Oyorokoto Road, among others.
Governor Fubara also disclosed that significant progress had been made in strengthening the education and healthcare sectors during the period under review. He added that his administration had continued to prioritize peace and security as essential pillars for development and stability.
Expressing gratitude to the people of Rivers State for their support and trust, the governor said he remains deeply honoured by the responsibility of leading the state and pledged not to take the confidence reposed in him for granted.

The anniversary message comes as the administration reflects on three years of governance under its “Rivers First” agenda, with renewed assurances of continued development across all sectors of the state economy.
