Major General Abdullahi Mohammed Adangba (Rtd) Is Dead

Former Chief of Staff to ex-Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and the late Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, Major General Abdullahi Mohammed Adangba (Rtd), has passed away.
According to a family source, Shittu Mohammed, the respected retired military officer died peacefully on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at his residence in Abuja, surrounded by family members after a long and fulfilling life of service to the nation.

Shittu Mohammed further announced that the late General’s funeral prayers will be held at the Ansarudeen Mosque, Wuse, Abuja, followed by his interment at the National Cemetery by 2:00 p.m. on the same day.

Major General Abdullahi Mohammed Adangba had a distinguished military career and was renowned for his dedication, discipline, and service to Nigeria. Beyond his military exploits, he held several key positions in national service, including his tenure as Governor of the defunct Benue-Plateau State from 1975 to 1976.
Throughout his lifetime, the late General was widely respected for his integrity, patriotism, and contributions to national development.
He is survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren.
