GOVERNOR UBA SANI CONGRATULATES CHRISTOPHER MUSA

Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has congratulated General Christopher Gwabin Musa (rtd.) on his nomination by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as Nigeria’s new Minister of Defence.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the Governor expressed profound appreciation to President Tinubu for what he described as a “clear vote of confidence” in General Musa, a distinguished son of Kaduna State. According to him, the nomination reflects the President’s firm commitment to strengthening national security and rewarding competence.
Governor Sani commended General Musa’s sterling record of service, noting that his dedication, capacity, and professional integrity have earned him respect both within and beyond the military.
He added that the President’s gesture is not only an honour to the retired General but also a mark of recognition for the people of Kaduna State, who hold Musa in high esteem.
“The nomination shows the President’s commitment to recognising and rewarding merit,” the Governor stated. “It also reinforces the national effort to rebuild and strengthen the security architecture at a critical time when the country has declared a state of emergency on insecurity.”
Governor Uba Sani wished General Musa success in his new role, expressing confidence that he will bring his wealth of experience to bear in advancing Nigeria’s defence and security priorities.
