Kogi Government Deploys Surveillance Drones to Combat Insecurity

Lokoja, Kogi State – January 20, 2026

In a bid to strengthen security and enhance intelligence operations across the state, the Kogi State Government has unveiled two high-capacity PH20 surveillance drones.

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo officially introduced the advanced security equipment on Monday at the 12 Brigade Headquarters, Chari-Maigumeri Barracks, Lokoja. The governor emphasized that the deployment of the drones reflects his administration’s commitment to leveraging cutting-edge technology in the fight against crime, aligning Kogi State with global best practices in security management.

Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, Governor Ododo highlighted the potential of the drones to provide real-time intelligence, monitor strategic locations, and support security personnel in rapidly responding to criminal activities. He reassured residents that the state government remains proactive in adopting innovative solutions to safeguard lives and property.
The PH20 surveillance drones are equipped with state-of-the-art sensors and high-resolution cameras, enabling them to cover large areas efficiently.
