Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has distributed over 500 wheelchairs and other mobility aids to persons living with physical challenges across the state, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance and social welfare.
The distribution ceremony, which took place at about 11:00 a.m. at the Muhammadu Buhari Square in Lokoja, attracted beneficiaries from various local government areas of the state. During the event, wheelchairs and other assistive mobility devices were presented to help improve movement, independence, and overall quality of life for recipients.
In addition to the distribution of mobility aids, Governor Ododo also presented a vehicle to the Secretary of Persons with Physical Challenges in Kogi State. The vehicle is expected to enhance coordination, advocacy, and service delivery for persons living with disabilities across the state.
