COMMANDANT NACOLM HOST COMMANDANT NACOMS – ASSURES FURTHER COLLABORATION

The Commandant, (NACOLM), Major General Adewale Collins Adetoba, has assured of enhanced collaboration between the College and the (NACOMS), particularly in the area of training and capacity development.
The assurance was given when the Commandant NACOMS, Brigadier General Paulina Olubunmi Aburime, paid a courtesy visit to Major General Adetoba on Tuesday, 24 February 2026, at the Commandant’s Conference Room, NACOLM Main Campus, Ojo, Lagos.
Speaking during the visit, Major General Adetoba expressed appreciation to the Commandant NACOMS for the visit and reiterated NACOLM’s commitment to strengthening existing ties between the two premier Nigerian Army institutions. He emphasized the importance of inter-institutional cooperation in enhancing professional military education and ensuring that personnel are equipped with the requisite logistics and medical competencies necessary for modern military operations.
Earlier in her remarks, Brigadier General Aburime expressed gratitude for the warm reception accorded her and her entourage. She commended NACOLM for the mutually beneficial relationship that exists between both Colleges and assured of NACOMS’ continuous support and collaboration. She stressed the need for both institutions to sustain efforts geared towards meeting international best standards in military training and education.
A major highlight of the discussions was the call for increased collaboration in practical training, particularly in the conduct of demonstrations and hands-on sessions on Casualty Evacuation (CASEVAC) drills. The proposed collaboration aims to enhance students’ knowledge, proficiency, and operational effectiveness, especially in field environments and during military operations.
The visit was attended by the Deputy Commandant/Director of Studies NACOLM, Brigadier General Sylvester Anyogo; Director of Administration, Colonel A.R. Mustapha; and Director, Military Leadership and Staff Studies, Colonel I.I. Zubairu. Also present were Chief Instructors, Heads of Units and Departments from NACOLM, as well as members of the NACOMS delegation.
The visit was climaxed with the presentation of souvenirs and a group photograph, symbolizing the enduring partnership and shared commitment to excellence between the two institutions.
