WIN: A New Dawn for Inclusion and Diversity at NNPC Ltd

NNPC Towers, Abuja, March 9, 2026

Yesterday marked the official launch of the Women in NNPC (WIN) initiative at the NNPC Towers, Abuja. WIN is a strategic programme aimed at fostering an inclusive workplace and accelerating leadership opportunities for women within NNPC Ltd and the broader energy sector.

WIN has been designed as a formal institutional platform to inspire, support, and nurture women across the company. The initiative seeks to attract, retain, and develop exceptional talent while building a thriving community where every woman has the opportunity and environment to succeed.

During the launch, the Group Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari, described WIN as a strategic investment in the company’s people. “WIN does not replace merit. It strengthens readiness. It does not create advantage. It removes unintended barriers. And most importantly, it does not divide us. It connects us,” he said. He emphasized that “NNPC wins when our women win. And when women win, organisations and nations move forward.”

The event featured a panel discussion themed “Winning in the Sector: Women Shaping Nigeria’s Energy Future on Their Own Terms,” where senior leaders shared insights on resilience, mentorship, and leadership in the energy industry.

A highlight of the launch was the unveiling of the WIN logo, coordinated by the Executive Vice President, Business Services, Sophia Mbakwe. The initiative aligns with global best practices in diversity and reinforces NNPC Ltd’s commitment to building a stronger, more innovative energy future for Nigeria.

Through WIN, the company envisions a future where every woman has the opportunity to succeed and contribute meaningfully to the growth of Nigeria’s energy sector.
