March 12, 2026, Abuja, Nigeria
Nigeria is set to host Africa’s largest trade fair in 2027 as part of efforts to strengthen economic cooperation and promote trade across the continent.
The announcement was made by the Federal Government of Nigeria through its official digital platform, Aso Villa Digital Communications.
According to the government, the event is expected to bring together businesses, investors, and trade representatives from across Africa and other parts of the world. The trade fair will provide a platform for showcasing products, services, and innovations while promoting partnerships that can boost economic growth.
The initiative also aligns with Nigeria’s commitment to expanding intra-African trade and strengthening the objectives of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), which aims to create a single market for goods and services across the continent.
Officials noted that hosting the trade fair will position Nigeria as a major hub for commerce and investment in Africa, while providing opportunities for local businesses to connect with international partners and expand their markets.
