TOP SECURITY CHIEFS MEET WITH PRESIDENT TINUBU AT STATE HOUSE

Abuja, Nigeria — March 12, 2026

Top security and intelligence chiefs on Thursday met with Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the State House, Abuja, for a high-level security meeting aimed at reviewing the nation’s security situation and strengthening coordinated responses to emerging threats.

Among those present at the meeting were the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency, Mohammed Mohammed; Director-General of the Department of State Services, Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi; and the Chief of Army Staff of the Nigerian Army, Waidi Shaibu.

Also in attendance were the Chief of Defence Staff, Olufemi Olatubosun Oluyede; the Minister of Defence, Christopher Musa; and the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu.

Other security chiefs present included the Inspector-General of the Nigeria Police Force, Tunji Disu; Chief of the Nigerian Air Force, Sunday Aneke; Chief of the Nigerian Navy, Idi Abbas; and the Chief of Defence Intelligence, Emmanuel Undiandeye.

The meeting focused on strengthening inter-agency collaboration, reviewing ongoing security operations across the country, and exploring additional measures to safeguard national stability.

The high-level engagement underscores the Federal Government’s commitment to sustaining coordinated efforts among the nation’s security and intelligence institutions in addressing security challenges and ensuring the safety of citizens.
