Eid-El-Fitr: Otunba Dapo Okubadejo Felicitates Muslims, Urges Residents to Back Nigeria and State Government’s Transformative Agendas

As Muslims across Ogun State and Nigeria mark the Eid-el-Fitr celebration, the Honourable Commissioner for Finance and Chief Economic Adviser, Otunba AbdulRahman OlaDapo Okubadejo, has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim faithfuls, describing the festival as a season of gratitude, discipline, and renewed commitment to faith and public service.

Beyond the celebrations, Otunba Dapo Okubadejo seized the occasion to call on residents of Ogun State and Nigeria to rally behind the administration of Governor Dapo Abiodun CON and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, pointing to a raft of landmark infrastructure projects and fiscal initiatives that they both said are fundamentally reshaping the state and nation’s development trajectories.

Otunba Dapo Okubadejo drew particular attention to the construction of the Ogun State Agro Airport, describing it as a historic and transformative investment that will open the state to greater commercial activity, accelerate job creation, and position Ogun as a preferred destination for both domestic and foreign investors. He also highlighted the state government’s aggressive road constructions programmes, which has seen major arterial routes across the state’s senatorial districts rehabilitated, expanded, and newly built, easing the movement of goods, people, and commerce in communities that had long suffered from decades of infrastructural neglect.

On the fiscal front, Otunba Dapo Okubadejo as the Honourable Commissioner for Finance and Chief Economic Adviser, Ogun State, reaffirmed his personal commitment to sound financial management and strategic economic planning. He noted that the Governor Dapo Abiodun’s administration CON’s fiscal policies have steadily improved the state’s internally generated revenue, strengthened its credit profile, and expanded its capacity to fund capital projects without overburdening residents. What is happening in Ogun State today is not accidental. It is the product of deliberate planning, disciplined execution, and a government that is genuinely committed to improving the lives of its people,” he said.

We built an airport. We are constructing roads. We are putting in place fiscal frameworks that are changing lives and creating real opportunities. These are not promises but they are projects that residents can see, touch, and feel. We ask the people to support this government because this government is working for them,” he added.

Otunba Okubadejo equally urged Nigerians to sustain their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, noting that the administration’s ongoing economic reforms, though demanding patience, are laying the necessary groundwork for long-term national stability and prosperity. As our dear President continues to steer the nation toward stability and growth, we must support him with prayers, unity, and commitment. The Renewed Hope Agenda reflects a clear direction for national development, and collective effort is required to achieve lasting results,” he said.

The Honourable Commissioner wished all Muslim faithfuls across Ogun State and beyond a peaceful and joyful Eid-el-Fitr, and encouraged them to carry the enduring values of sacrifice, love, compassion, and unity far beyond the holy month of Ramadan while lents still ongoing.
