GOV ZULUM PROMISES NORMALCY TO DISPLACED PERSONS IN GWOZA LGA

Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, has assured displaced residents of Ngoshe community in Gwoza Local Government Area of the government’s commitment to restoring peace and normalcy to their area.

The Governor gave the assurance during his second visit to Pulka, where displaced persons from Ngoshe are currently taking refuge. The visit was aimed at boosting confidence and distributing humanitarian assistance to both the displaced persons and members of the host community.

Governor Zulum urged the affected residents to remain resilient as government and security agencies intensify efforts to stabilize the area and ensure their safe return.

He had earlier visited the displaced residents in the aftermath of the attack to sympathize with them and reassure them of ongoing efforts to secure the release of abducted victims and restore stability to the community.

During the latest visit, the Governor distributed relief materials and engaged with victims and key stakeholders, encouraging unity and hope despite the challenges faced by the affected population.

The intervention underscores the state government’s continued commitment to supporting displaced communities and addressing the humanitarian impact of insecurity in the region.
