Abuja, Nigeria — April 29, 2026
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced that its Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI successfully eliminated terrorists and destroyed key logistics structures during a precision airstrike in the Mandara Mountains.
According to a statement issued by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the operation was carried out on April 27 at Guduf, a known terrorist enclave within the mountainous region.
The statement revealed that the mission followed credible intelligence and confirmatory Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), which identified multiple terrorist hideouts and logistics hubs actively supporting insurgent activities in the area.
NAF air assets subsequently executed a coordinated strike, employing precision targeting and adhering strictly to established rules of engagement. The operation led to the elimination of several hostile elements and the destruction of their infrastructure.
Ejodame emphasized that the strikes were conducted with due regard for civilian safety and the protection of the surrounding environment.
He added that the successful operation significantly degraded the operational capacity of the террорист groups, disrupting their logistics network and limiting their ability to carry out further attacks.
The Nigerian Air Force reiterated its commitment to sustaining offensive operations aimed at denying insurgents freedom of action and enhancing security across the North-East region.
