President Tinubu celebrates district head of Chanso, Al-Hassan Yakmut, at 65

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated His Royal Highness, Al-Hassan Saleh Yakmut, District Head of Chanso in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State, on the occasion of his 65th birthday.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President commended Yakmut’s distinguished career and contributions to sports development in Nigeria.
He highlighted Yakmut’s journey from his early days as a professional volleyball player to serving as Director General of the National Sports Commission, as well as his roles within the Federal Ministry of Sports and as a strategic adviser to successive ministers.
The President also acknowledged his impact as Chairman of Plateau United Football Club, noting that his leadership has contributed significantly to grassroots sports development and the strengthening of football administration in the country.
President Tinubu praised Yakmut’s dedication to nurturing young talents and promoting sports as a unifying force, stating that his passion and commitment continue to inspire both on and off the field.
He wished the traditional ruler good health, continued success, and many more years of impactful service to the nation.
