PRESIDENT TINUBU TO VISIT PLATEAU STATE ON SATURDAY

Jos, Plateau State – October 4, 2025

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is scheduled to visit Plateau State on Saturday, October 4, 2025, in a visit that combines both condolence and engagement with northern religious leaders.
According to a statement released by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information & Strategy, President Tinubu will depart Lagos on Saturday morning for Jos, the Plateau State capital.


The primary purpose of the visit is to attend the funeral prayers of Nana Lydia Yilwatda Goshwe, the late mother of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Professor Nantewe Yilwatda Goshwe.


Following the funeral rites, the President is expected to engage with Church leaders from across Northern Nigeria during a special address at the headquarters of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) in Jos. The meeting is seen as part of President Tinubu’s ongoing efforts to foster dialogue and strengthen national unity across religious and regional lines.
The President is expected to return to Lagos later the same day.
