Speaker Abbas Applauds Teachers, Pledges Support for Their Welfare and Education Quality

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen, has expressed the firm commitment of the 10th House to leverage legislative tools aimed at improving welfare packages for teachers and enhancing access to quality, affordable education across Nigeria.
Speaking on the occasion of World Teachers’ Day, Speaker Abbas congratulated Nigerian teachers for their invaluable role and called for regular training and retraining programs to ensure they remain well-equipped as academic staff in educational institutions.

A former teacher himself, Speaker Abbas described educators as co-parents and experts dedicated to nurturing and molding young Nigerians into civilized, productive, and patriotic citizens.

He further urged increased public-private partnerships and support for teachers to enable them to efficiently fulfill their critical roles in shaping the future of the nation’s youth.
