NAFDAC Clarifies Misleading Report on Sachet Alcohol and PET Bottles Ban

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has taken note of a false publication claiming that enforcement of the ban on sachet alcohol and alcoholic drinks in PET bottles below 200ml has been suspended.
NAFDAC wishes to clarify that this claim is misleading and untrue. The ban remains fully in force, and enforcement activities are continuing in accordance with the Agency’s statutory mandate to protect public health, particularly vulnerable populations.
The Agency urges the public, stakeholders, and media houses to rely solely on verified information issued through NAFDAC’s official communication channels.
