MESSAGE BY THE FIRST LADY OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA ON EID EL-KABIR 2026

The First Lady of Nigeria, Oluremi Tinubu, has extended warm greetings to Muslim faithful across Nigeria and in the diaspora as they celebrate Eid el-Kabir 2026.
In her goodwill message, the First Lady described Eid el-Kabir as a special period for reflection on the enduring values of sacrifice, obedience, faith, and compassion. She noted that the celebration serves as a reminder of the importance of selflessness and total devotion to the will of God.
Senator Tinubu called on Nigerians to embrace peaceful coexistence and continue to live in harmony with one another, stressing that the nation’s strength lies in unity, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to building a society where love and understanding prevail.
She also urged citizens to remember the true essence of the season by extending kindness and support to neighbours, especially the vulnerable and less privileged in society.
According to her, acts of generosity and compassion can renew hope and bring comfort to many people.
The First Lady further encouraged Nigerians to continue praying for the nation’s sustained peace, stability, and prosperity.
She concluded her message by wishing all Muslim faithful a joyful Eid celebration, saying, “Eid Mubarak.”
