Nnpc Commissions, Hands Over Rehabilitated Wards To National Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi

Lagos, Nigeria — April 30, 2026

NNPC Limited has commissioned and handed over three rehabilitated 100-bed capacity wards to the National Orthopaedic Hospital Igbobi, as part of its corporate social responsibility efforts aimed at improving healthcare delivery in Nigeria.

The intervention was executed by the NNPC Foundation, the Corporate Social Responsibility arm of NNPC Limited. The project involved the comprehensive rehabilitation and upgrade of Wards G, H, and J within the hospital.

As part of the upgrade, the wards were equipped with new hospital beds and fitted with a central medical gas system designed to enhance the quality of care and improve patient outcomes.

NNPC Limited stated that the initiative reflects its ongoing commitment to positively impact the lives of Nigerians by supporting critical sectors such as healthcare and infrastructure.

The company noted that the upgraded facilities are expected to significantly improve service delivery at the hospital, which serves as a major referral centre for orthopaedic care in the country.
