Ogun Police Receive Temporary Ikenne Area Command Facility, Break Ground for Permanent Structure

The Ogun State Police Command has received a temporary building for the Ikenne Area Command and performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a permanent facility, marking a major step in strengthening security infrastructure in the area.

The event also included a visit to the Ikenne Security Coordinating Centre, highlighting ongoing efforts to improve coordination and efficiency in policing operations within the command area.

The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, was represented at the occasion by the Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni, psc, FCSS, MNIPR.

In his remarks, the Commissioner of Police described the development as a reflection of strong community-driven support for effective policing, noting that collaboration between security agencies, local stakeholders, and development partners remains critical to sustaining peace and safety.

He also commended the Ikenne Security Coordinating Centre for its adoption of digital innovation in security management, stressing that technological integration enhances intelligence sharing and improves rapid response to security challenges.

The Command expressed appreciation to the Ikenne Development Association, led by Barrister Olufemi Allen, for its commitment to strengthening the security architecture of the community.

Reaffirming its mandate, the Ogun State Police Command pledged continued dedication to proactive policing, protection of lives and property, and sustained partnership with communities across the state.
