Olukoyede Calls for Stronger Collaboration Among Law Enforcement Agencies

The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede, has called for enhanced collaboration among law enforcement agencies to effectively tackle corruption and financial crimes in the country.

The call was made during a working visit by senior officers of the Kaduna Zonal Directorate of the EFCC to key law enforcement agencies in Niger State.

The agencies visited include the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Nigeria Police Force (NPF), Department of State Services (DSS), and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).

Speaking through the Acting Director of the Kaduna Zonal Command, ACE I Ahmed M. Ghali, Olukoyede emphasized that collaboration among agencies is indispensable in the fight against corruption and economic crimes, noting that no single agency can succeed in isolation.

He stressed that effective synergy is crucial for intelligence sharing and coordinated operations, adding that sustained inter-agency cooperation would help overcome operational challenges and improve outcomes in enforcing the law.

According to him, strengthening partnerships remains a vital tool in achieving shared goals of economic stability and national development.

Heads of the host agencies commended the EFCC for its professionalism and resilience, reaffirming their commitment to working collectively to combat corruption, which they described as a common enemy requiring unified action.
