President Bola Tinubu has emphasized the transformative power of education in shaping a brighter future for Nigerian children, following the signing into law of the Student Loans Re-enactment Bill. Speaking during an Iftar event at the State House in Abuja, President Tinubu highlighted education as the key to breaking the cycle of poverty and ensuring upward mobility for the nation’s youth.

“The only thing that can fight poverty is education,” President Tinubu affirmed. “Today, I signed the bill for the Student Loan Scheme. Imagine the children of the poor; what about people going through the mud, fishing in the ponds? How do you tell their children that their future will be brighter? It is only through education that we can fight poverty.”

President Tinubu also reassured Nigerians about the state of the economy, emphasizing efforts to steer it towards sustainable growth and prosperity for all. Addressing concerns about inflation and exchange rates, he underscored ongoing efforts to stabilize the economy and expand revenue streams.
Acknowledging the contributions of supporters during his election campaign, President Tinubu expressed gratitude for their dedication and pledged to work tirelessly to fulfill the promises made. “It is your footwork and footprints that made me the President,” he said. “There are a lot of expectations. I, therefore, have to work hard for it.”
While urging citizens to maintain faith in Nigeria and support his administration’s efforts, President Tinubu emphasized the importance of perseverance and self-reliance. “Europe and America did not get to where they are today in one day, but through persistence and hard work,” he noted.
Vice-President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and other dignitaries echoed President Tinubu’s sentiments, expressing gratitude to supporters and reiterating confidence in the President’s leadership.
As Nigeria moves forward, President Tinubu’s commitment to education and economic stability signals a promising path towards a brighter future for all Nigerians.
