The State House has announced that President Bola Tinubu will embark on an official visit to the Kingdom of the Netherlands on Tuesday, April 23, 2024.

President Tinubu has been invited by the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte, for high-level discussions. During his visit, he will hold separate meetings with His Royal Majesty, King Willem-Alexander, and Queen Maxima. Queen Maxima serves as the United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development (UNSGSA).
As part of his itinerary, President Tinubu will participate in the Nigerian-Dutch Business and Investment Forum, aimed at fostering collaboration and partnerships, particularly in agriculture and water management. The forum seeks innovative solutions for sustainable farming practices and will bring together leaders from conglomerates and organizations in both countries.
Additionally, discussions will focus on port management operations, leveraging the Netherlands’ world-renowned expertise in this field.
Following his engagements in the Netherlands, President Tinubu will attend a special World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting scheduled for April 28-29 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The forum, themed “Global Collaboration, Growth and Energy for Development,” will gather over 1,000 leaders from business, government, and academia.
President Tinubu and his delegation will seize this opportunity to engage in discussions aligned with his Renewed Hope Agenda for Nigeria, focusing on collaboration, growth, and energy development.
Accompanying the President will be selected ministers and senior government officials, highlighting the significance of the visits and the importance of strengthening bilateral ties and exploring opportunities for economic development.
Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity), issued the statement on April 22, 2024, underscoring the government’s commitment to fostering international cooperation and advancing Nigeria’s interests on the global stage.
