In a significant move to strengthen cultural and tourism ties, the Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy of Nigeria resumed talks with the Qatari government on Monday, aiming to boost collaboration in cultural exchange, arts, and tourism between the two nations.

The discussions took place in Abuja, where Nigeria’s Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa, met with Dr. Ali Ghamen Al-Hajri, the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Nigeria. During the meeting, Minister Musawa highlighted Nigeria’s rich and diverse cultural heritage, underscoring the country’s vibrant music scene, thriving movie industry, and extensive arts sector. She emphasized the potential for partnerships that would promote mutual understanding and growth, with a particular interest in collaborating with Qatar to preserve and showcase Nigerian artefacts.
