Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested over 100 suspects in a late-night raid on a popular nightclub in Lagos, believed to be the venue of a large-scale drug party.
Lagos, Nigeria – October 27, 2025
According to official sources, the operation was carried out in the early hours of Monday following credible intelligence that the club, located in the upscale Victoria Island area, had been hosting gatherings where hard drugs were freely used and distributed.
The NDLEA spokesperson confirmed that among those apprehended were several well-known celebrities, social media influencers, and the owner of the nightclub, whose identity is currently being withheld pending further investigation.
“Our operatives stormed the premises around 2 a.m. after days of surveillance. Substances including cocaine, ecstasy, and cannabis were recovered from the scene,” an NDLEA official disclosed.
Eyewitnesses reported scenes of panic as agents surrounded the building, preventing anyone from escaping. Many of the suspects were reportedly taken by surprise, with some attempting to dispose of incriminating materials before being apprehended.
The NDLEA has assured the public that all suspects will undergo drug testing, and those found culpable will face prosecution in accordance with Nigeria’s drug laws.
The agency also reiterated its commitment to curbing the growing trend of “high-profile drug parties” in major cities, emphasizing that no individual regardless of fame or social standing will be spared.
