NiDCOM CHAIRMAN DABIRI-EREWA CELEBRATES SANI FOR MAKING HISTORY AS ONE OF NIGERIA’S YOUNGEST COMMERCIAL PILOTS
Abuja, Nigeria – October 27, 2025
Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has congratulated Muhammad Aminu Sani, an 18-year-old Nigerian, for making aviation history by earning a United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Commercial Multi-Engine Pilot Licence from Phoenix East Aviation (PEA) in Daytona Beach, Florida.
Dabiri-Erewa lauded Sani’s extraordinary achievement, describing it as “a shining example of the brilliance, resilience, and determination of young Nigerians breaking global boundaries.”
She noted that Sani’s accomplishment at such a young age reflects the limitless potential of Nigerian youths when given the right opportunities, mentorship, and support.
Sani’s training journey was equally remarkable — he completed a rigorous professional aviation programme in less than 12 months, a milestone achieved without a single checkride failure, a rare accomplishment even among seasoned trainees.
Commending his discipline and excellence, Dabiri-Erewa said,
“Muhammad Aminu Sani’s success is a source of national pride and a beacon of hope for millions of young Nigerians striving to make a mark globally.”
The NiDCOM Chairman further encouraged other young Nigerians in the diaspora and at home to draw inspiration from Sani’s success story, reminding them that with passion, focus, and perseverance, they too can achieve greatness.
She reaffirmed NiDCOM’s continued commitment to celebrating and supporting Nigerians in the diaspora who excel in various fields and contribute positively to Nigeria’s global image.
Sani’s achievement stands as a testament to the growing influence and impact of young Nigerians on the world stage, and a proud moment for the nation.
