Kano APC Unites as Stakeholders Affirm New State Executive

Kano, Nigeria — March 5, 2026

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State has recorded a significant milestone as key stakeholders across the state affirmed and endorsed the party’s newly elected State Executive Committee, signaling renewed unity and stability within the party.
This was contained in a statement issued on Wednesday and signed by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.

According to the statement, prominent political leaders including Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, Deputy Senate President Senator Barau Jibrin, and former APC National Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje congratulated the new executives. They described the emergence of the committee as a major step toward strengthening unity and internal cohesion within the party in Kano State.

The leaders commended party members for conducting a peaceful and successful congress, noting that the outcome reflected the collective will and commitment of APC supporters throughout the state.

Several prominent stakeholders, including Murtala Sule Garo, Tijjani Gwarzo, and Abba Kabir Bichi, along with other party leaders, pledged their full support to the newly constituted State Executive Committee.

They emphasized the importance of reconciliation, cooperation, and collective responsibility in repositioning the party for future electoral success in Kano State.
The stakeholders also urged the newly elected executives to adopt an inclusive leadership approach by carrying all members along and ensuring fairness, transparency, and accountability in the management of party affairs.

According to them, the unity displayed during the affirmation process sends a strong message that the APC in Kano State is now more focused and determined to operate as one united family.

They further called on party members across all levels to rally behind the new leadership in order to strengthen the party and promote its continued growth and development in the state.
