Information Minister Speaks on Resignation of Ministers, Confirms Compliance with Presidential Directive

The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has clarified the circumstances surrounding the recent resignation of some members of the Federal Executive Council (FEC).
Speaking ahead of a scheduled broadcast, the minister explained that the resignations of key officials, including the former Coordinating Minister of Finance and Economy, Wale Edun, and the former Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Ahmed Dangiwa, were in line with provisions made by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
According to him, the affected ministers, along with others who had earlier stepped down, took the decision in order to pursue their political ambitions, in compliance with the directive and timeline set by the President.
He noted that the development reflects adherence to established guidelines within the administration, ensuring order and accountability in public service.
